Titans, Vikes join forces The Region 6 softball team of the State Games of North Carolina, which includes four players from Hopewell and North Meck high schools, reached the third-place game Wednesday against Region 7.  North Meck’s Sarah “Boomer”
Mooney homered in Tuesday’s 8-5 win over Region 8 and Hopewell’s Kelly Braman had a solo homer in the opening game of the tournament.  Hopewell’s Stephanie Spain and
North’s Lauren Lewis have also contributed multiple hits in the event.
