Next "fun night" scheduled for Friday February 8th for our Have a Heart Pajama Party at the Lewis' church.  Please plan to wear your pajamas and bring a new pair to donate to "Pajama Program for Foster Children".  This will be an over night affair.

Christmas party for Hopewell softball included dinner at CiCi's Pizza then mad shopping for our adoptive family for Christmas then wrapping and fun celebration with the group.  A special family enjoyed the holidays just a bit more thanks to the girls of Hopwell Softball, the coaches and parents.

Congratulations to Hopewell's Janna Lewis who is the recipient of the Hood Hargett Breakfast Club student-athlete scholarship for October. Winners are based on academics, athletics and community and school involvement, receive $1,000 towards college. Nine monthly winners are selected, one will be chosen student-athlete of the year and receive a $5,000 scholarship

Lady Titans rallied to battle back strong to win 4A State Playoff Game Round Three against North Meck 9-6. Lacy Robinson came in to pitch 1 2/3 innings to secure the win after the Titans came back from behind in the bottom of the 6th by scoring 4 runs to take the lead 9-6..........GO TITANS!!!!!!!!

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 6th inning. North Meck plated 7 runs before the inning was over. Hopewell scored 2 runs in the top of 7th on a HR by Kelly Braman. This was Kelly's third HR since April 21st.

Varsity Wins Against North 7-0

Hopewell beat cross town rival North in first game back after spring break. Christina Melton pitched a two hitter in winning her 4th game of the season without a loss. Offense was provided by Kristi Woodall who went 2-3 with a double, HR and 3 RBI's. Kristy Giragosian went 3-3 while Christina Melton helped her cause going 2-3. Hopewell took control early in the game scoring in each of the first three innings and broke the game open in the 5th inning scoring three more times and putting the game out of reach. The Lady Titans improved their record to 11-1.

Game Highlights and Season Update (thank you Greg)

JV beat JM Robinson, 8 to 0.  Great pitching, great defense (no errors) and timely hitting were the recipe for the victory.   Kirstie Knox pitched a complete game 1 hitter.  On offense, Carmin Schelling went 3 for 4 (2B) with 2 RBI,  Kelly Braman had a triple to lead off the second inning, and scored the first run of the ball game on Carmin's base hit up the middle.  All in all an outstanding complete team effort.   JV improves to 5 and 0, and has outscored their opponents 56 - 5.

Hopewell pitcher Alyssa Jarvis allowed 1 hit against Olympic to help lead the Lady Titans to a 13-0 victory.

Jarvis also worked her win by going 4-4 with 5 RBI's.
